Its location was excellent and lovely, close enough to * County * Durham, the sea and resturant. Had everything we needed, would recommend😀👌

We stayed here for 4 nights, it was such wonderful! We loved the host. Its location was magnificent, at a moderate distance from an 11th-century manor house.

The van was incredibly clean and homely, with amazing Halloween decorations that the kids loved. The entertainment area was buzzing and we enjoyed cozy nights watching DVDs. The effort put into making it feel like our own home was evident. We will definitely return!

We had an exceptional stay in Durham adjacent to resturant, and * County * Durham. The host met us with warm welcome. The bedroom was separate and it overlooked sea. Had a bathtub.

Stayed in a heavenly abode with a shared lounge, restaurant, and bar. The nearby Stadium of Light was practically next door. The private pool and free parking were the cherries on top!
Oh, how I adored getting lost with no directions and freezing in the icy bedrooms. What a delight!

I keep coming back to this place because it has everything I need: free parking, laundry, a kitchen with all the utensils, and a flat-screen TV. The staff even helped return my forgotten earpods. Perfect for my holiday!

Spacious Apartment: Our two-bedroom apartment at The Allens' Retreat was like a mini palace! The living room with a flat-screen TV felt like our own personal cinema, and the fully equipped kitchen made me feel like a master chef. It was the perfect setting for a memorable family getaway.
Lock Box Issue: Unfortunately, we faced a minor hiccup during check-in. The code provided for the lock box didn't work, causing a slight delay in getting settled.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this retreat! The caravan was spacious and very clean, exceeding our expectations. The hosts had thought of everything, providing all the amenities we could possibly need. The surroundings in the morning light were beautiful, adding to the charm of our stay. The owner was incredibly responsive and helpful throughout our time there. a fantastic experience.
Although the location was slightly misleading, as it is technically in County Durham rather than the City of Durham, it still served as a convenient place for us to rest our heads. Additionally, we had a minor issue with the lock box code upon arrival, but the maintenance staff quickly resolved it, although it would have been helpful if the host had mentioned the option of a spare key earlier.

I recently stayed at The Allens' Retreat for a weekend getaway and it exceeded my expectations. The caravan was spotlessly clean, spacious, and had a luxurious seaside homely vibe. The stunning seaview from the excellent location was a major highlight. The owner was incredibly responsive and provided everything we could possibly need for a comfortable stay. Parking right next to the caravan was convenient and the well-maintained site added to the overall experience. I highly recommend this hotel and would definitely return.
Totally recommend this hotel.

Our stay at Allens' Retreat was absolutely wonderful. The caravan was beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. It truly felt like a home away from home. The host went above and beyond, providing all the essentials we needed for a comfortable stay. The view of the sea from the caravan was a lovely bonus. We also enjoyed visiting Durham, which was just a short drive away.
It stated Durham, but the caravan is technically located in County Durham. However, this was our mistake for not clarifying beforehand.
